Client Advisory Board

Background:

The Client Advisory Board has been convened by the Research Industry Council of Australia (RICA) to assist the Council in strengthening the role and impact of the Australian market and social research industry – by encouraging greater client engagement in industry and professional issues and direction.

The Board will use the Market Research Executive Board (MREB) as a best practice source of information and inspiration

The Client Advisory Board advises the market and social research industry in Australia on issues to strengthen the role of research. These may include areas that are not being met by research, the direction the marketing industry is taking, skills they think are needed by research practitioners or advice on methodological approaches.

The responsibilities of the Board are:

1.     to agree an annual list of 2 or 3 key topics on which to advise the industry

2.     to provide formal action-oriented advice on topics in a timely fashion

3.     to present at least one paper at both the AMSRS National Conference and AMSRO Leaders’ Forum annually

4.     to allocate appropriate time to deliver on the agreed critical topics.

In all matters the Board works closely with the Research Industry Council of Australia through the Joint Council.

Membership:

The Board includes, but is not confined to, senior marketing or market research heads of organisations buying and/or using market and social research within Australia.

Membership will be via invitation from Joint Council and is voluntary.
